Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your first quest.

The Basics

What is RunPGJO?

RunPGJO is a gamified running app that turns your real-world runs into an RPG. You complete quests, earn EXP, level up, climb a monthly leaderboard — and the #1 runner each month wins a real prize.

How do I earn EXP?

Two ways:

  • Quests — complete daily and weekly running challenges in the App.
  • Open World — free-run mode where your GPS-tracked activity earns EXP as you explore.

All EXP counts toward your rank and your position on the monthly leaderboard.

Is RunPGJO free?

Yes — you can download the App, run quests, earn EXP, and compete on the leaderboard for free. An optional premium subscription unlocks extra features, billed through the App Store or Google Play.

Leaderboard & Prizes

How does the monthly leaderboard work?

Every EXP point you earn during the month places you on the leaderboard, visible to all players. When the month ends, the board resets to zeroand a fresh competition starts. EXP from last month doesn't carry over — everyone starts the new month on equal footing.

What do I win, and how do I get my prize?

The player ranked #1when the month ends wins that month's prize. Each month's prize is announced in the App and changes from month to month. Prizes are physical — we'll either hand it to you in person or send it by delivery. Once you're contacted as the winner, you have 14 days to confirm your details, or the prize passes to the next eligible player.

Who is eligible to win?

Competitions are currently for players in Jordan (any regional or age limits for a specific month are shown in the App). RunPGJO employees, founders, and their immediate family members can play but can't win. Full rules are in our Terms of Service.

What happens if someone cheats?

Every winning run is GPS-verified and audited before a prize is awarded. GPS spoofing, mock locations, running in a vehicle, bots, or multiple accounts get you disqualified and banned — even after a win is announced. Fair play protects the prize for real runners.

Running & Tracking

Why does RunPGJO need my location?

GPS is how we track your distance, pace, and route during a run — and how we verify quests and leaderboard results. Location is tracked only during an active run session and stops when you end it. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

My run didn't track correctly. What do I do?

GPS accuracy depends on your phone, signal, and surroundings (tall buildings and tunnels are the usual suspects). Make sure location permission is set to "Always"with precise location on — runs require it — and battery saver isn't killing the App in the background. If a run still fails, contact us with the date and time — we'll take a look.

Can I run on a treadmill?

Not for EXP right now — RunPGJO verifies activity through outdoor GPS movement, so treadmill runs can't be counted or verified. Get outside, the Open World is waiting.

Account & Payments

What are Crowns?

Crowns are RunPGJO's in-app currency, earned and spent inside the App. They're virtual items with no real-world cash value and can't be sold, exchanged, or transferred outside the App.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by us:

  • iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → RunPGJO → Cancel.
  • Android:Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → RunPGJO → Cancel.

Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid being charged for the next period. Refunds are handled through Apple/Google under their policies.

How do I delete my account?

Open the Profile tab, tap the menu (☰), and choose Delete Account — or email us. Deletion is permanent — your profile, run history, EXP, rank, and Crowns are gone for good.

Support

I found a bug / I have a suggestion. Where do I send it?

We read everything. Email us at frskaandmr@gmail.com — include your username and, for bugs, your device model and what happened.

Is running with RunPGJO safe?

RunPGJO is a game, not a coach or a doctor — check with a physician before starting a new exercise routine, and always stay aware of traffic, terrain, and your surroundings while running. Don't stare at your phone mid-run; the leaderboard will still be there when you stop.
